LIMCOM participated at the 26th WaterNet/WARFSA/GWPSA Symposium in Lusaka, Zambia, where it co-convened three dynamic sessions spotlighting experiences and innovations in transboundary water cooperation. These sessions were
Bridging Waters, Bridging Knowledge – unlocking regional water intelligence towards Integrated Information and Knowledge Management Systems (IKMS) for Source-to-Sea cooperation in the SADC Region.
This session explored how to move beyond the conceptual phase of IKMS and into practical implementation, ensuring these systems actively support planning, governance, and resilience across transboundary water contexts.
Waterway Pollution: Building Blocks for a SADC transboundary strategy for healthy rivers from Source to Sea
The session aimed to shape a collaborative regional strategy to tackle waterway pollution across SADC’s transboundary rivers.
Empowering Citizen Scientists through Capacity Building on Water Monitoring Tools:
The session highlighted efforts to cultivate a regional network of citizen scientists equipped with practical tools to monitor water quality and availability.
