LIMCOM pays courtesy call on SARDC

The two organizations, which have a long history of collaborative research, including the publication of the “Limpopo River Basin Atlas: Changes, challenges and opportunities,” agreed to continue working together to deepen cooperation and integration in southern Africa.

The LIMCOM Secretariat on 26 March paid a courtesy call on the Southern African Research and Documentation Centre (SARDC) in Harare, Zimbabwe to discuss and explore new collaboration opportunities.

Executive Secretary Sergio Sitoe led the LIMCOM delegation that was welcomed by the SARDC Executive Director, Munetsi Madakufamba.

The two organizations, which have a long history of collaborative research, including the publication of the “Limpopo River Basin Atlas: Changes, challenges and opportunities,” agreed to continue working together to deepen cooperation and integration in southern Africa.

The “Limpopo River Basin Atlas: Changes, challenges and opportunities,” was produced in 2017 with support from various partners namely GRID-Arendal SADC Secretariat Global Water Partnership Southern Africa.

The atlas provides evidence-based analyses on changes in the Limpopo River Basin, including their causes and outcomes, to motivate policy action and the promotion of sustainable development.
